I Never Saw This Coming

Funny, I always suspected that my side would be the ones in rebellion. I guess I should have known better. Dinner is at the VFW tonight, so pull up a chair before the business meeting and let’s talk. Please remember the tip jar where we collect for the mess.

Between the complete idiocy falling like oral diarrhea from Walz, Omar, and Frey’s mouths, the behavior of idiots like Don Lemon breaking into a church service in process and terrorizing the congregation, the “Black Panthers” (not the real Black Panthers of the 60s and early 70s, this is more like the TEMU Black Panthers) toting guns and saying they’re going to shoot any federal Officers that dare to show their face in “Their Neighborhood” while ‘posing’ with 22 caliber carbines made to look like ARs, groups of Venezuelan illegals ambushing ICE agents, while state senators (Bobby Joe Champion for one) speak out in support of the action, “ICE Watch” saying “The time is ripe to embrace militancy,” and a couple of other states supporting these actions, we’ve haven’t been closer to a real split and real civil war since the Watts riots and the Detroit riots. Maybe since 1860.

People, people, people, especially you folks on the left! Please, for the love of any God you believe in, take a step back.

Look, a week ago, I referenced a video recording of Becca Good, in the aftermath of Renee’s shooting, screaming at the ICE officers, “Why do you have real bullets!!!???”

Well, Becca, it’s because they’re real cops, doing real cop shit. That’s cops.

If you didn’t like that, you are straight up gonna hate Active-Duty Soldiers!

I have spent the last couple decades expecting to be on the receiving end of “The Insurrection Act.” I figured it to go something like this:

“The President, with full agreement from a majority of Congress,” while the news is careful not to list how slim of a majority, “has declared that the Second Amendment is only an authorization for State National Guards. Effective immediately, any firearm that fails to meet the requirements of Executive Order 666.6 not in the possession of Law Enforcement, or Military Personnel is illegal. You are directed to turn any non-conforming weapon of mass destruction to your nearest police station, sheriff’s office, or State Police post, within the next fourteen days. Failure will result in your arrest and prosecution under 18 USC 2383.”

See, in my mind, the gun grabbers were so in control of the ballot machines reins of power that something like this was as inevitable as taxes. In spite of everything that the SCOTUS has said about how the Second Amendment is a protection for the individual, and all of their rulings about weapons suitable for war fighting… The self-appointed Powers That Be would still go for it, like they have in the entire rest of the English-Speaking World. (Formerly Great Britain, Australia, New Zeeland, and now Canada have gone to almost complete Firearms bans. Well, it’s not official in Canada yet, but they’re trying, the Gods know their trying.)

I have this old oath: one that I recited at least seven times, with my hand in the air, that says “I promise to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.”

If that scenario played out, the US Government would have declared itself an enemy of the Constitution. Then it gets all lines and arrows on the maps in the history book.

I’m not alone in this expectation, there were a hell of a lot of guys I served with, that expected/ expect the same thing.

So, what’s that look like? Well, if you’re old enough to remember “the Troubles” in Northern Ireland, take that, and raise it to the tenth power, and then raise that to the tenth power, and you might be in the ballpark.

And the thing, is this: Many/most of us had served in the military, or been cops, and most of the rest were at least hunters. We knew what guns did, most of us had seen something we shot die, and we at least believed that we were prepared to be on either side of that equation, in the pursuit of what we thought was right.

I read something earlier this week that is sort of pertinent. Not far from where I live, during the Civil War, two scouting units had been skirmishing for weeks over a bridge that was the only way across this particular small river. Neither side had been successful in chasing the other off. Eventually, one of the officers challenged the other to a duel over the bridge. Old School Single combat. The Union officer lost having taken several rounds, and was patched up by the Confederate Surgeon, who was the only medical professional around. After the war, the two officers went into business together, and opened what is still a major chain of stores in the south.

The thing is,

1) Both of those guys went in knowing what combat looked like.

2) Neither had any personal animosity towards the other side, they both fought for what they believed was the right, but each believed the other to be an honorable, if wrong, man.

That’s the sort of thing that I expected. Oh I figured there would be some excesses, some monsters that got a chance to take off the mask because there’s shooting going on. Every war has had them. The “Red Legs”, Bloody Bill Anderson, Quantrill’s Raiders, The Camp Jackson Massacre, the Jayhawkers, and so on.

Now I didn’t expect it to be nice, or to have clean fronts, or anything like that, but I did figure that most of the guys on the other side would be professionals, guys that believed that the orders given were legal, and as a result, we were rebels in need of being put down. I didn’t figure we would see much of the “blue hair and nose ring” crowd, they would get one taste of real combat and vanish like a snowball in August.

What I never saw coming was the success of Trump’s election turning the government around so fast, and watching the people who wanted to disarm the population, wanted to control how far you may travel from your home, and in what sort of conveyance, wanted to go for the “you’ll own nothing, and be happy, eat the bugs” thing, to suddenly be the group in rebellion against the lawful authority of the US Government. I’m sure they didn’t either.

These poor fools aren’t set up for this. Oh they think they are, they are convinced that they’re brave warriors fighting The Forces of Fascism. If you know one of these folks, or if you ARE one of these folks: Please, I beg you to consider or have them consider a couple things.

1) Fascists, ACTUAL fascists, don’t send a few cars on a sweep to pick up some folks that have overstayed their welcome, or never had one to begin with. That’s not what fascism looks like. They also don’t pepper spray the protesters and put them in cuffs. Real fascists show up in the middle of the night, and you just disappear.

Your body will never be found. Protesters are not pepper sprayed; they’re bullet sprayed. And yes, they would be using “real bullets.”

2) We haven’t even gotten to the point in the use of force continuum that the Law Enforcement side was at during the Birmingham riots. Right now, the cops are just “dog piling” the rioters that refuse to clear the highway. Wait until they sic the actual dogs on you.

In Birmingham the protesters used school kids, which emphasized the excesses of Bull Connor’s police forces. The kid being bitten in the famous photograph was fifteen. But the thing about that is that everyone is willing to believe that a fifteen-year-old chose for himself to be there, and he went of his own accord. This makes it all about how grown adults choose to deal with fifteen-year-olds and gives the cops a black eye that is remembered today, over sixty years later.

On the other hand bringing your babe in arms, or your toddler along to a planned riot, and then putting them in between you and the pepper spray? Yeah, no one is going to buy an infant that can’t string three words together, if they are talking at all, chose to show up at a riot and take the pepper spray meant for the mother. That’s all on you.

3) The people who are talking you into this stuff? They’re not there, and they just may not be telling you the whole truth. When they say “the people that are being arrested never did anything, they’re just like you and me, these guys are the new Gestapo” they’re lying. Over 70% of the folks in detention under ICE authority have convicted at least one crime OTHER than coming across the border illegally or overstaying their visa. (Hint, that too is a crime) When they say “ICE aren’t cops.” Yeah, another lie. Sworn Law Enforcement officers of the Department of Justice, just like the Marshal’s service, or the IRS guys that your side wanted to use against anyone that spoke out against them while Biden and Obama were in office.

At least one of the guys that is trying to talk you into this stuff is himself just cosplaying the role. Walz talks a good game. As a No-Go he made fairly high rank by talking a good game.

Then the second his unit was going to actually deploy, he chicken-shitted out and resigned, rather than go overseas and see what actual fighting might look like. Hell as the SMG of the unit, he was going to be a FOBBIT. He was never going to be in any more danger than that of randomly having to dive into a shelter from a mortar or rocket attack. No more dangerous than driving I-35 during rush hour. Now he’s saying that he’s activating the Minnesota National Guard to be ready to react against federal agents? Yeah, bad idea Timmy.

Of course he’s also being very careful to say to do all of this resisting peacefully. That, my friends is known as a “disclaimer” it’s a little condom you put on to protect you from the results of your actions. It allows you to say, “I never told them to burn down the federal building. I told them to resist peacefully.” It’s the same thing that Trump used when he was talking about going down to the capital building and demanding your rights. It leaves you holding the bag.

All the training for “ICE Watch” and the other groups, like Antifa and the Black Panthers, seems to be Computer Based Training (CBT). Does anyone know who’s creating this training? Who’s funding it? Isn’t it funny how fast the news broke about the fraud in Minnesota after the capture of Maduro? How, just as the shit is getting real in Iran, the news breaks about sending ICE to Minnesota, as a result of the fraud schemes? How suddenly it’s not about the fraud, forget about it, and it’s not about Iran, forget that too, it’s all about how Jack-Booted-Thugs (JBT) are running rampant in Minnesota, and then about how some silly bint got herself shot for the ultimate crime of being stupid with a deadly weapon?

Why, it’s almost like someone wants to keep changing our direction and thoughts and keep us from paying any attention to what’s going on overseas. In all of this, one should ask, “Who benefits?”

Someone is putting shit in other people’s mouths. Walz is being quoted as saying things that I can’t find a sound bite of, riling up the Right, Trump is being quoted as saying things I can’t find a sound bite of, riling up the Left, people are being convinced to take little 22lr caliber popguns, LBE (Load Bearing Equipment) with no plates in them, and go play “revolutionary.”

Look, you can indeed kill a man with a 22LR. If you’re a stone-cold killer, know exactly were to aim, and are straight up deadly with that rifle, yeah, you can take someone down at 50, hell even 75 meters. But with a fold down set of cheep sights and no optics, TIMU load bearing equipment with no spare mags on board, and the cheapest knock off, 22LR version of an AR 15, you ain’t that guy. If you’re not that guy, and you aim that rifle at a cop, or worse still a solder, you’re not going to live long enough to realize you’re being set up. Even if you get a round off, with that gear, you aren’t going to hit anywhere actually lethal except maybe by accident. And the guy that you shot? If he finds out that he was shot, he’s going to be pissed.

It’s not going to matter that you’re cosplaying, it’s not going to matter that you have a popgun. The guys you point it at are going to see “Gun” and respond as their training directs, which means you’re going to be in the center of a sudden Hard Rainstorm.

Someone wants victims. Someone wants bloody shirts to wave. If you find out who that is, you find the real orchestrator of all this shit. Again I’ll ask, “Who benefits?”

Under any circumstance, please, reconsider your position. You ain’t ready for this. You may have bought yourself a pistol (I saw someone the other day on F.B. claiming “I’ve bought a pistol, I’ve gone to the range, I’m trained now, you Republicans better be careful, because I’ll kill you if I need to.”

Well let me tell you, son: You may have had a class, (by who, and how good are they?) You may have put five hundred rounds down range. (probably not, but maybe) You may be able to reload without looking at your pistol, and transition from two handed to off hand, and still hit a man-sized target at twenty-five yards. (Probably not, but maybe.)

I’ve been carrying firearms for fun and profit since the late 70s. I’ve been qualifying on combat ranges since 1980. I have no idea how many rounds I’ve put down range, but it’s got to be in the hundreds of millions. I’ve heard bullets go past my ass, I’ve actually killed things and watched them breath their last. We are not the same.

Hell, let’s say you get me from behind, and put a round in one of the sweet spots. OK, you won that round. Now you’ll be facing the real boss. And behind him or her? There’s another one. This doesn’t end well for you, no matter what. There are not enough of you, well enough trained, to win a civil war today. But whoever is paying the bills for this shit, gets what they want, which is Uncle Sam being so busy at home, that they have a free ride to pull whatever shenanigans they have in mind.

Please, both sides, go take a look at /beyond-the-mountaintop-martin-luther and take a good hard look at yourself. Consider TALKING instead of shooting.

Yes, I know, that’s what got Charley a chance to interview the Divine Architect of the Universe personally, but guess what, if you don’t return to the table, instead of taking it to the streets, there’s going to be a whole fuck ton more dead. On both sides.

OK enough on that.

Here’s another fun thing though: You know how the big thing once Renee Good ‘found out’ was that her WIFE was there, and, depending on which side you listen to, was horrified, or was egging her on, until the ‘find out’ part? You’ve probably seen the video where the ‘wife’ was pushing the cops buttons in the seconds before the key event, how she was videoing it all (funny thing, that’s the only video that hasn’t surfaced. WHY?)

Well, it seems that the narrative is broken. Becca and Renee are not married. Renee changed her name legally, but not via marriage. There’s a “Partner Registration affidavit” in Minneapolis. Did they fill that out? Nope. The phrase is “shacked up.”

Why does this matter? Two reasons.

1) The second it all went south Becca claimed, “That’s my wife.” The narrative was “Innocent loving lesbians, dropped the kids off at school, then came afoul of Nazi thugs on the way home, one’s dead now, bad evil Nazi!” Except Kid, not Kids, the rest of Renee’s kids had been taken away from her by the state. Becca has no relationship or claim on the kid that Renee was allowed to keep, he went to the grandfather. Far from “Just happening on to an ICE operation” they had been following and fucking with the ICE Officers all day. But that’s not the big piece.

2) It seems that minutes after the shooting, a “GoFundMe” account was started, and raised $1.5 million in two days, before the account was paused, and the money moved to a trust “on behalf of Renee Good’s Widow and Family.” Becca Good is listed as the only beneficiary.

Uh, Widow has a very specific meaning. Becca doesn’t make that hurtle. Anyone want to take bets on how long before the knives come out between Becca and Renee’s family, now that over a million bucks is up for discussion?

Think this shit wasn’t orchestrated? I’m sure that Becca wasn’t supposed to die, well, middlin’ sure anyway, but was there supposed to be some sort of shit storm, with injuries at least? Oh yeah. It’s all too well rehearsed, too pat, right up until “wait, the cops have real bullets?” That part went off script a little.

In other news before I go, I see where Turtle Boy, Mitch McConnell, has finally decided to retire… He’s 85. He’s been a senator since 1985. Yes, he’s a Republican. So what? Dude, FORTY YEARS in the same seat? TERM LIMITS. Term limits now, term limits for ever. At 85 most people are unable to drive, for Gods’ sake. Look, I am a fan of our leaders having the wisdom and maturity that comes with having been around the block a few times. But at 85, that mofo has circled the entire earth a few times. Term limits and cognitive tests given by a panel of independent doctors chosen by lot before being allowed to run for election!
