Thanks, appreciate the insight. Sadly, it is consistent with what seems to be "the real world"..."money talks and BS walks"...etc. Recently, conventional wisdom has been in a real "batting slump". I guess we'll see if we revert to the mean or not. Hate to say it, but some of the Korea dramas the wife and I watch seem to reflect reality more than I would have ever expected...and many of them are 10 years old. Hope your move is finished soon!

we're waiting on being given an address, so that we can get power run to the site, then we can move on to the land. Getting the house built will probably take until Christmas, but once we have an address, we can call it "home." We've got Conex boxes on site, so that we can get our stuff out of the Uboxes, and quit paying those fees, we'll also set one of them up as a temporary shop so that we can start working on the land... It's going to be a project that will keep me busy until I'm dead.

Agree with you on the use of the word "treason" in the current ever-growing list of mal actions taken against the current POTUS. However, given the "let's make a deal" mindset of POTUS, and legal "plea downs" rampant in our legal system, is this a tactic? I am definitely no lawyer, and notice that "botched" prosecutions frequently involve "over charging". Curious if you, or others more legally smart have thoughts on this? (Seriously doubt charges will ever actually be brought, but would be delighted to see any conviction).

Well, my legal experience is rather the opposite. Being a cop in WA state, we saw the DA initially charge people with no experience in the system with stuff way beyond the actual charge written up, and then "grudgingly allow a plea bargain down" in return for a guilty plea and no trial. On the other hand, the frequent flyers, and the guys with money, got charged way below what we had evidence for (IE, I catch you two minutes away from the crime scene, five minutes after the alarm went off, with burglary tools in your back pocket that match the marks on the door, and serialized shit in your hands that we can prove come from the residence, and your prints on shit in the house! We charge Burg-1 the DA refuses to prosecute on burg-1 and charges with Possession of stolen goods.)

This is known as how to piss off a police officer.
